Designed For Joy Announces Appointment of Grace Morris as New Executive Director

Raleigh, NC – January 2, 2025 – The Board of Directors of Designed For Joy is pleased to announce the appointment of Grace Morris as Executive Director, effective January 1st. After a comprehensive search process that began on October 1st, the Search Committee identified Grace Morris as the standout candidate to lead our organization into the future.
The Search Committee, composed of dedicated members of our community and board, diligently reviewed nearly 100 applications. Through a rigorous selection process, the committee narrowed the field to seven exceptional candidates, each bringing unique strengths and perspectives. Following multiple rounds of interviews, it became clear that Grace Morris was the right choice for the role.
Grace has been an integral part of Designed For Joy for the past three years, most recently as Interim Executive Director and Director of Corporate and Community Engagement. Grace brings a wealth of experience with our organization and a deep commitment to our mission. Her visionary leadership and strategic insights will be invaluable as we continue to advance our goals and serve our community.

Grace replaces Cary Heise, former Executive Director, following Cary’s move to South Carolina.
