You’ll learn leatherworking, riveting, industrial sewing, jewelry making, and you’ll walk away with loads of EXCLUSIVE DFJ handmade leather products that you made yourself! Open to all skill levels, no sewing experience necessary.

Kristen Sydow, Designed For Joy Co-founder and Designer, will be your host and instructor. Kristen is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Textiles is her love language. Teaching is her gift!

Friday
5:00pm Welcome to the studio and family style dinner
6:30-9:00pm TIME TO MAKE! Review of all products to create. Lessons on heat embossing, hand press, rivets and snaps.
9:15pm Arrive at house and free time

Saturday
8:00am Breakfast at the house
8:45am-12:00pm TIME TO MAKE! Sewing lesson at studio
12:00pm Lunch
1:00-5:00pm TIME TO MAKE!
5:00-6:00pm Refresh at house
6:30-7:30pm Dinner Downtown Raleigh
After dinner, free time! You can go back to the house or go out in Raleigh.

Sunday
8:00am Breakfast at the house
8:45am-12:00pm TIME TO MAKE! Lesson on necklace, earrings, and bracelet
12:00pm Group photo and goodbyes

Meals

Meals are provided for Friday Dinner, Saturday Lunch, and Saturday Dinner only (no Breakfasts). Saturday dinner out includes one non-alcoholic drink. Additional drinks or alcohol drinks will be participants responsibility.

Transportation

Transportation to and from the studio will be provided for guests with Overnight Accommodations only, but any additional outings during free time, participants will be responsible for (like Uber if the participant goes out downtown after dinner).

*This is a women's event.

*Each participant must complete a waiver releasing DFJ from liability.

*Nonrefundable. Your space can be transferred to another woman by you. We cannot commit to helping fill your space should you not be able to attend.
