Jessica is beyond grateful to get to spend her time working within the DFJ mission. Her heart is privileged to hold her husband Wesley, who is in heaven, and her 3-year-old daughter, who loves to sing, dance, and run around outdoors. Family plays a vital role in her life, and she’s a proud aunt to four nephews + two nieces. Jessica attends Hope Community Church and Midtown Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, and loves to sing with the worship team. Hands down, one of the best decisions she’s ever made was in joining Iron Tribe Fitness in downtown Cary, as the motivation and camaraderie found within that community are beyond compare. Jessica lives in Harnett County, and loves to write and spend time cooking, fishing, hunting, hanging out with family, and playing outside with her daughter. She lives to serve the broken and rejected, and she is positive that she already loves you. Her intention is to live for God’s glory, for her husband’s legacy, and for her daughter’s heart.

Krista is a native North Carolinian – a citizen of Cary since she was four years old – and she now resides in Apex. Krista loved growing up in Cary so she stayed close to home after graduating from Apex High School and attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Krista met her husband, Jack, while watching the Carolina Hurricanes play for the cup and soon realized their mutual love of sports and each other, despite the house divided. Jack is an NC State University grad (ChemE). Together they have 3 children: Susannah, attending Apex Friendship High School, and Sam and Asa, both attending Apex Middle. Add two big dogs into the mix and there is never a dull moment in the Martin house! Krista has a passion to help people, especially women, and to serve her community. She’s consistently been involved with various service groups and organizations over the years and has found a perfect fit within Designed For Joy.
